Bby Wow Guy with your dog or cat: can a pet do the stare?

Updated:

Short answer

Yes. Upload one sharp, front-facing photo of your dog or cat as the dancer. The pet stands on its hind legs, holds the snack in its front paws, takes a bite and stares into the lens. Check the free 5-second preview first, since pet photos vary more.

Pet photos that work

  • Big, sharp face: the pet fills at least a third of the frame.
  • Eyes on the lens: the stare only works if the model can see the eyes.
  • One animal per photo: two in one picture confuse the model.
  • Nothing over the face: leave out costumes and toys.

What the pet does

The pet keeps its species, rises on its back legs and sways toward the camera like the guy in the meme. It takes a bite, chews and stares. The movement is invented by the model, so it reads more as a cartoon. File limits are in the photo guide, and the friends and pets guide has more ideas.

Questions people ask

Will my dog really hold the snack?

In the video it is held in the front paws. The movement is invented, so results change with every photo.

Which pets work best?

Dogs and cats with a clear face turned to the camera. Small animals far from the lens are harder to read.

Can my pet sit next to me in the photo?

Not in this template, which takes one subject per photo. Crop the picture to the pet alone.
