What it plays on
Movies love the mysterious rider who removes the helmet at the last second. The meme swaps the drama for cake: the face under the helmet is the person you want to wish well, and the candles are the payoff.
Questions people ask
Is it the same as the car version?
It's the same creator's idea in a different vehicle. This template follows the biker Reel, so its timing is built on that one.
Why is the view from the person holding the cake?
It puts the viewer inside the clip, so the birthday wish seems to be aimed straight at them.
Is the trend tied to a language or country?
No. Nobody speaks in it, so it works in any language.
