What does Driver Put Phone Away mean, and what else is it called?
Updated:
Short answer
It is a joke about being caught on camera: the driver notices the passenger filming, spins round and loudly says to put the phone away. People also type: put the phone away, driver yells put the phone away, put phone away AI, or the minibus driver meme.

What it says
The clip dramatises a very ordinary irritation: someone is filming you and you've had enough. The turn round and the open hands make it a short piece of theatre. Keep it about your own jokes, not a jab at a real person.
Questions people ask
Is it about one country or language?
The viral sound is Russian, but the gesture needs no words, so the format works anywhere.
Is the driver in the viral clip famous?
We don't identify the driver and our videos never show him. The page is about the format, not a person.
Why a minibus?
The cab in the clips is the joke: tassels, a fare counter, coins and a card reader, all very recognisable.
