What photo should I upload for an Ozil goal video?

Short answer

Go for one sharp photo of the scorer, with a single subject looking toward the camera. Save it as JPG, PNG or WebP, under 10 MB, between 300 and 6000 pixels per side. Blurry, masked or crowded shots turn out worst.

Technical limits

  • Formats accepted: JPG, PNG, WebP.
  • Each photo can be up to 10 MB.
  • Both sides must be over 300 pixels and under 6000.
  • Width divided by height has to land between 0.4 and 2.5. Panoramas and thin strips fail.
  • Only the scorer needs a photo. Putting that one photo in both boxes works too, though it looks off.

Photos that come out best

  • Light that's soft and level, with the subject in focus.
  • Face or front toward the lens, eyes and mouth showing.
  • One subject, set against a plain or uncluttered backdrop.
  • Pets: shoot close, at their eye height, while they look your way.
  • Toys, models and drawings: show the figure from head to toe.

Photos to avoid

  • Group photos, where the model might follow the wrong subject.
  • Dark glasses, masks, a hand across the face or heavy beauty filters.
  • Screenshots covered in buttons or captions.
  • Pictures of footballers, celebrities or well-known copyrighted characters.

Stick to yourself, adults who've said yes, or pets, toys and drawings that are yours. Celebrities, minors and adult material are banned. Go through Photo Consent and Acceptable Use before you upload. No footballer or club is behind this site or endorses it.

It is, if it's sharp and well lit and your whole face is in view.

The upload box rejected my photo. What do I do?

A message below the box names the cause: size, format or shape. Correct it and try again. Rejected photos cost nothing.

Will a screenshot of a footballer be accepted?

No. Footballers and other public figures get blocked, along with any picture that looks like one. Choose yourself, a friend who agreed, or a pet or toy of your own.
