Can I make the Smalltown Boy AI dance with my cats or dogs?
Updated:
Short answer
Of course. Upload one sharp, front-facing photo for each pet, one as the Lead and one as the Partner. Each keeps its species and dances upright on its hind legs. Two cats is the classic AI version, but dogs and mixed pairs work as well. Try the 5-second preview first.

Pet photos that work
- A big, sharp face: the pet fills at least a third of the frame.
- Eyes on the lens: a pet sitting up beats a curled-up nap.
- One animal per photo: two cats in one box confuse the model.
- Two different pets: different colours make them easier to tell apart.
What your pets do
The Lead clutches its head and screams at the lens while the Partner dances behind, then they swap, and both dance side by side at the end. The screams come from the pets themselves: a cat yowls and a dog howls. Pick “Two pets” in the generator’s selector.
A pet and a person
A pet and a person can be a pair too, with either one in the Lead box. When a person appears, use only photos of adults who agreed. The photo guide lists the file limits.
Questions people ask
Do I need exactly two pets?
You need two photos. They can show two pets, a pet and a person, or two people.
What kind of pet photo works best?
Cats and dogs whose faces turn clearly to the camera. Birds, fish and small animals far from the lens are harder for the model to read.
Will my pets truly dance?
The model invents the movement, so the result looks more like a cartoon than a documentary, and it changes with every photo.
