Smalltown Boy AI video: the Lead and the Partner are swapped, how do I fix it?
Updated:
Short answer
Roles come from the photo boxes: box one is the Lead, who screams at the lens first, and box two is the Partner, who dances behind. The scene also swaps them halfway on purpose. If the start looks reversed, press Swap photos in the generator and run the next video with the photos the other way round.

Why it happens
- Photos in the wrong boxes: by far the most common cause.
- The swap is part of the scene: after the hard cut the Partner screams at the lens and the Lead dances behind. That is not a bug.
- Similar subjects: two subjects with similar fur, hair and clothes are easier to mix up.
How to fix it
Check the labels above the boxes, swap the photos if needed and render again. If the pair still blends together, choose photos with different backgrounds and colours. The generator shows the role names next to each box.
Questions people ask
Where do I find Swap photos?
Under the two photo boxes in the generator. It becomes active once both photos have been added.
Does swapping cost credits?
No. Swapping only changes the inputs before a run. A run starts when you press the make button.
Can roles change after a video is finished?
No. A finished video is fixed. To change the roles, start a new run with the photos swapped.
