What kind of photo should I upload for a Toc Toc dance AI video?
Updated:
Short answer
Pick a clear photo of whoever dances. That can be you (18 or over), an adult friend, a pet, a toy or a drawing, with a visible face that looks toward the camera. JPG, PNG and WebP work, up to 10 MB and 300 to 6000 pixels per side. Blurry, masked or group photos do worst.

Technical limits
- Format: JPG, PNG or WebP.
- Weight: no more than 10 MB.
- Pixels: over 300 and under 6000, measured along each side.
- Aspect: the width-to-height ratio has to stay between 0.4 and 2.5, which excludes extreme panoramas and strips.
- You only need one photo, with one subject in it.
What a good photo looks like
- Light that is even, and a face in focus.
- Anything from head and shoulders to full length, provided the eyes are visible.
- Clothes you'd like to watch dancing, because the dancer wears the outfit from your photo.
- With pets, a tight, eye-level shot facing the lens.
- With toys and drawings, a clean view of the entire figure.
What to skip
- Group shots, as the model could latch onto the wrong face.
- Anything covering the face, such as sunglasses, masks or a hand, and any strong beauty filter.
- Screenshots that have buttons or captions printed over the image.
- Pictures pulled from another person's video, and photos of celebrities or well-known copyrighted characters.

Questions people ask
Is a selfie fine?
Yes, as long as it's sharp and well lit, and your whole face is in the frame without cropping at the edges.
What if my photo is turned down?
A note under the upload box explains the problem, for instance the size, the format or the shape. Correct it and try again. You pay nothing for a rejected photo.
Should I pick a photo with a room or a dancing pose?
No, we generate both the room and the dance. The cleanest results come from a plain shot of the face.
